Banners, Set #3 (Willow and Giles)
I worked on two more banners, this time for Willow and Giles. I'm not sure how many more of these I want to do, but I think I'll at least try to finish off the "core four" with banners for Xander and Buffy.

Large versions and notes are under the cut.

Banner #5:
Willow Rosenberg
Notes:
I'm still afraid this is a little bit "too much" for Mister Camera. The basic idea here was to push Willow into the extreme closeup, with a burning memory of Tara hovering nearby. I found a font that seemed to be a cross between Tolkien script and Arabic, and tried to cast it in Fool's Gold. I'm not 100% happy with the photo of Alyson here, but it is darn near impossible to find a useful pic of her where she isn't grinning.
(Version A)

Banner #6:
Rupert Giles
Notes:
As soon as I saw this pic of ASH I thought it was extremely badass. Love the toothpick, which reminds me so much of a tiny wooden stake that it physically hurts me. Thought the slightly smug look plastered on his mug was extremely appropriate for his arc in the story, too. Also, I found a neat-o texture to put in the background, which reminded me somewhat of the "Red Falcon" identity Giles adopts. Font is an older typewriter courier, traditionally spaced for manuscript style.

I just included an alternate color treatment of the Giles banner. I'm sort of torn between the two.
"What else do you excel at, Mr. Boy what is Lost?"
Well, I was a varsity wrestler in the 8th grade, so I can probably tape all of your buns together.

You made me censor myself by example. Don't ever do that again or I'll never make you a turkey pot pie.

And Tara in flames is beautiful - is she holding a candy cane?
I like Willow's face but she seems a bit airbrushed to me. And super young. Gah, her skin is so beautiful though. And I love the idea of "fools gold" to go with her banner. You've thought of everything.
